M O O N S H I N E

Sometimes when I'm having a hard day or feel lost I grab a fuzzy blanket, climb out my window and sit on the wood panels of my roof. I lay on my back and look up at the stars in the night sky and see the moon shining brightly down. The moon is a such a phenomenon to me. It's mind blowing how such a small part of life has the ability to cast such a bright light on a world of darkness. No matter how stormy or cloudy it gets the moon prevails to be noticed and never goes away. Some days its bigger than others, it will show its full circle and light up the ghostly forest paths; other days just a crescent is seen and the moon choses to keep his beauty to himself.
The moon is metaphorically every person in the world. I believe that each person has a heart of gold from the beginning, however the darkness of society can set in and take away their true colors. Some people stand out more then other's. One may walk into a room and everything lights up- they bring a bright energy that is contagious. We all have it inside ourselves but it's up to you to choose if it is seen.
So go outside and get some fresh air. Look at the beauty in the stars and the moon and know that you can shine equally as bright and don't let the dark shadows overcome you. We all look at the same sky and really are not that different from one another. Find your place and exceed, allowing yourself to light up even brighter than before.
